📍 Location: Hollywood North Beach Park, 3601 N Ocean Dr., Hollywood, FL 33019

📍 Directions: Tell the gate attendant you're volunteering with the Coastal Cleanup — your parking fee will be waived. Once inside, head to the Dune Shelter, located halfway down the parking lot on the right side, behind the restrooms.

📝 Registration: This is a two-step process:

• Step 1: Sign up here on the EB website now to reserve your spot.
• Step 2: On September 5th, register directly with Broward County's Coastal Cleanup system using the link below. This second step is required and must be completed before the event. We will send an email reminder on September 5th with the link to register.

Event Description:

Join Emerge Broward for a morning of hands-on environmental stewardship at the Broward County Coastal Cleanup, taking place at Hollywood North Beach Park. As part of the county's largest volunteer effort of the year, EB members will work alongside fellow community members to clear litter and debris from one of Broward's most treasured coastal parks, helping protect local marine life and keeping our shoreline beautiful for residents and visitors alike.

This is an opportunity to get outside, connect with fellow emerging leaders, and make a tangible impact in the community we call home. Broward County will provide cleanup supplies, gloves, and bags on-site, along with T-shirts and hats while supplies last.

Whether you're passionate about environmental conservation, looking for a meaningful way to give back, or simply want to spend a Saturday morning outdoors with the EB community, this event is a great fit. Just bring your energy and a willingness to get a little sandy.

About the Coastal Cleanup:

Broward County's 41st annual Coastal Cleanup is part of the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup, the world's largest volunteer effort for ocean health, held annually in more than 122 countries. Broward County's Natural Resources Division — Marine Resources coordinates the local effort each year on the third Saturday of September, bringing out volunteers to sites across the county's coastline.

Last year alone, over 1,800 volunteers countywide removed more than 5,200 pounds of trash from Broward's beaches and waterways — a reminder of how much impact a single morning of community effort can have.
