Join a Committee!

Joining a committee might be the next step for you! All member engagement opportunities are planned by Emerge Broward members through five different committees:

  • The Identify Committee is responsible for membership recruitment and retention.

  • The Connect Committee plans and implements regularly scheduled events for members that provide fun and interactive social experiences and meaningful networking opportunities

  • The Develop Committee provides on-going, quality educational opportunities that target the development of skills and knowledge necessary to achieve personal and professional excellence.

  • The Engage Committee provides members access to charitable and/or community based organizations throughout Broward County in an effort to build community trusteeship and improve the quality of life for our community.

  • The PR Committee develops and implements strategies focused on promoting the organization in the community, advertising upcoming opportunities, and recognizing members.

As a committee member, you have the opportunity to share your ideas about future EB initiatives and help plan and implement these events and activities as a Project Manager.

Don't have any event planning experience? Don't worry! We will support you through the process from start to finish.

Once you have served as a committee member, you have the opportunity to apply for a position on the Leadership Team, where you will help shape the future direction of Emerge Broward while further developing your leadership ability.

2024 Important Dates

  • December 1, 2023 - Willingness to Serve Applications Available
  • Friday, February 16, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. - Due date for Willingness to Serve Application Forms
  • Late February, 2024 - All candidates will be notified of selection status
  • March1, 2024 - New Leadership Team Terms Begin
