Dune Lake Clean-Up with Friends of Birch State Park

Join EB as we assist Friends of Birch State Park with their Coastal Dune Lake Habitat Restoration. They have begun phase 2 of 3 in this 2 year long project to clean out the north end of Long Lake, making it accessible for guests in canoes or kayaks and to improve the ecosystem in and around the lake. Volunteers will remove cattails, non-indigenous vegetation and debris either by foot or by canoe/kayak. All materials for the clean up will be provided. 

Attire: 

Outdoor wear and sneakers (things you won't mind getting a little dirty). Water shoes are also appropriate if in the canoe/kayak.

We will meet at Terramar house (next to Park & Ocean), where their offices are. We will be able to lock valuables in their office if needed. 

Entrance fee to the park will be waived, just notify that you will be volunteering on that day.
